DCK: *Finishing loading groceries into car trunk* (to self) “Oh shit. Where are my keys?” *check pants pockets* “Nope.” *recheck pockets.* “Nope. Shit.”
DCK: (to self) “Alright. I’m not wearing a jacket. My purse is at the house. I don’t see them on the ground around me. *briefly search* I have a spare set at home, I’ve got my phone so can call Pierce and have him find them. Maybe call a neighbor for a ride to store to drop off or, hell fire, house is not but 2 miles away—he can ride a bike here…but then what about Keegan. Devin’s not home to watch him. Fuck! Maybe I left them in ignition. If worse comes to worse, trunk is still open I can pop down back seat and climb through to get keys” *Look through drivers side window—no keys* “Fuck, Fuck, FUCK! … Wait a minute…trunk is open. How did I open trunk?” *find keys in trunk lock. Crisis once again adverted by brilliant problem solving*
